Choosing a Senior Project

As long as you are applying agricultural education and communication skills you've gained, almost any type of project will serve as a senior project. If you already have an idea or know of a professor you can work with who already has a project, congratulations!

If you don't already have a project in mind, the Agricultural Education and Communication Department collects Senior Project ideas from faculty and industry all year. Or, you can check out the latest ideas submitted by faculty below.

Current Senior Project Ideas from Faculty:

  • Filling the Gap of High School Agricultural Educators
  • Food Trends
  • Agriculture in the Media
  • Leadership in Agriculture
  • Public Perception of Agriculture
  • Communicating Food Safety
  • Teaching Methodologies for High School Leadership
  • The Impact of FFA on High School Students

Some senior projects align students with graduate programs and attendance to the AAAE National Research Conferences. Several Agricultural Education and Communication students have received invitations, applied and have been granted assistantships to attend graduate schools across the country following their senior project presentations at academic events.
